This beautiful sunset boat tour around the Caldera gives you the opportunity to explore the volcano and the area. In the evening you will relax admiring the legendary sunset from the sea. A very busy day filled with memories for life!
Tour itinerary
- 13:50, Depart from Athinios port.
The excursion starts when we take you by bus to the port of Athinios, where you enter the traditional sailing boat. - 14:15, Arrive at Hot Springs.
Famous thermal spas where you can relax before climbing to the top of the volcano. The healing waters, full of sulfur, iron and other metals are good for rheumatism, arthritis and other pains and a mud bath is excellent for skin. - 14:55, Depart from Hot Springs.
Next stop is the famous Volcano of Nea Kameni (active crater). - 15:10, Arrive at Volcano.
Climbing up to the top you you will hear the history of the place and explore the six craters. - 17:15, Depart from Volcano.
On the way you will have the chance to enjoy the unique view of the Caldera. - 17:45, Arrive to Thirasia.
You may explore the area for 1,5 hours and enjoy a traditional dinner (served menu) at a restaurant by the sea! - 19:15, Depart from Thirasia.
We will sail towards Oia- the village of unprecedented beauty , carved out off the cliffs. - 19:40, Sunset Oia.
We enjoy the legendary sunset while sailing back to Athinios port. - 20:40, After the sunset we will sail back to Athinios port.

Transfer by bus back to the resorts.

Please note that during SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER period, we may have less time for the sunset, due to the earlier sunset time.

The return time will be the same as the previous months and we’ll sail in the caldera enjoying (when its’ dark) the beautiful lights of the villages.
