A worth visiting museum housed in the old Community building of Oia. The opening of the new museum took place on 17th October 2010 with the presentation of Mr. Christodoulos Halaris collection.The museum holds a collection of old musical instruments played in Greece, including ancient bagpipes, horns and drums, dated from 2.800 BC to the early 20th century. The reconstruction of some instruments was done with the contribution of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece.
The placement was done in chronological order and then divided into the following sections: Epigonion, Formiges, Pythagorian Canon, Psalters, Woodwing, Percussion and Panduris. For a visit, please contact the Community of Oia.
