This one of a kind museum happens to be nestled in a cave and because of its unique position this natural labyrinth is eight meters below ground and 300 meters long. It took the family over twenty years of hard work, patience, and perseverance to complete the wine museum in this remarkable location, but it was all worth it.
Koutsoyannopoulos family created the museum to share the family’s passion and love for tradition and great wine-making. As fourth-generation wine-makers, they are proud to continue producing high-quality wines with methods passed down through decades of dedicated vinting.
Throughout the museum, there are many presentations of what life was like for vine-growers dating all the way back to the 1600’s. While on the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the history of wine through an automatic audio guide available in 14 languages or a guidebook (available in 22 languages).
